I am the grateful son of two humble Sri Lankan immigrants, born in Kingston, Jamaica during a time of great turmoil on the island. Later, owing to my parent's tenacity and fortitude, we came to the United States of America, where our family, starting with nothing, built our future. Witnessing my mother and father's sacrifices and struggles for our family have been the principal guiding inspiration of my life.
